As part of our commitment to Durham Vision Zero, The Regional Municipality of Durham is making it safer and easier for pedestrians to cross the street with pedestrian crossovers. Identified by signs, unique pavement markings, and marked yield bars showing where drivers must stop; some crossovers also have flashing lights that are activated by pedestrian push buttons.

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Regional Council has approved the Regional Broadband Network report, outlining two applications for funding from the Province of Ontario and Federal Government of Canada for the phased implementation of a broadband network in Durham Region.
